The staff at Center Veterinary Clinic prides themselves on kind, compassionate care that emphasizes educating clients so they can experience a long, healthy life with their furry friends. We have monthly staff meetings that focus on safety, client service and educating ourselves on the latest developments in veterinary medicine. Many of our staff members have worked here for years so the chances that you'll see a familiar face are excellent. Our staff members go through an extensive background check before being considered for employment. We truly love caring for your pets and we're sure that will come through when you visit Center Veterinary Clinic!
Dr. Matthew Bigelow has been a veterinarian for over 20 years. His undergraduate work was completed at UC Davis. He went to veterinary school at Ross University. Dr. Bigelow worked in Cleveland, Ohio for five years in a small animal practice and also worked one day a week at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Since moving back to California in 1996 to be closer to family, Dr. Bigelow has worked at Center Veterinary Clinic and became the owner in 1999. He has a special interest in dentistry and is the veterinarian for Petco Mira Mesa. He volunteers his time with the Feral Cat Coalition and many other adoption and rescue agencies. He owns one dog, two cats, two birds, a bearded dragon and a tank full of fish! In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and watching his four children play sports. Dr. Bigelow's favorite thing about being a veterinarian is watching pets grow up and be a special member of the family!
Natalie, Veterinary Technician, has worked at Center Veterinary Clinic since 2004. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree at UC Davis and completed the 2 year Animal Health Technology Program at Mesa College. Natalie serves as our OSHA safety officer and is one of our lead technicians. She is always ready to learn something new and loves to ask questions. Natalie's furry child, Moose, is a beautiful cat who will soon be 12 years old. Natalie enjoys watching all types of movies, going on walks with friends and spending time with her boyfriend of 17 years. Her favorite thing about working at CVC are the great people she works with and getting so see and help all of the cute pets everyday.
Allyson, veterinary technician, has worked in the veterinary field for over 14 years. She graduated with from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in Animal Science. Allyson and her husband have a 3 year old and 1 year old daughter She also shares her home with 4 dogs, 3 cats, 2 horses and a snake. She loves to horseback-ride and walk her dogs. Allyson has a special interest in Dog Behavior and training. Her favorite thing about working at CVC is working with puppies and kitties and getting them off to a great start.
Carla, veterinary assistant, has worked at CVC for over 4 years. She loves going to the beach, reading, hiking and kayaking. Carla has future plans of becoming a veterinary technician. Recently, Carla adopted a curious and adorable new kitten named Einstein! Carla loves learning new things everyday and helping animals feel better.
Jamie, veterinary assistant, has worked at CVC for two years. She has attended college for mechanical Engineering at San Diego State University but is now on the career path to becoming a veterinary technician. She has a beautiful Pit-bull baby girl named Jasmine. Jamie loves to go hiking, rock climbing when possible and backpack with her family. Jamie loves working with her fellow team members at CVC and working at a place that genuinely cares about helping pets. Someday she hopes to open a Pit-bull Sanctuary.
McKenzie, Veterinary Technician, came to CVC after relocating from North Carolina. McKenzie was just one month shy of receiving her nursing degree when she decided her real passion was to care for animals. She is currently one semester short of obtaining her degree in veterinary technology in route of becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. She lives with her fiance and her zoo of pets which includes 3 dogs and a Ball Python. In her free time, McKenzie enjoys cleaning, redecorating and taking her dogs to the beach. Her special interests in veterinary medicine include radiology and dentistry. We feel so blessed to have such a positive, dedicated and kind person caring for clients and pets at CVC
Julie, Veterinary Technician, has worked at CVC for almost 17 years. She received her degree from UCSD and went onto complete the Veterinary Technician Program at Mesa College. Julie is married with two active children. Her family loves to camp, boat, and ride motorcycles. Julie has two Australian Shepherds and an adorable cat. Julie has a special talent for getting even the most nervous pets to calm down. Julie favorite thing about working at CVC is the people that she works with.
Linda Dricoll, has worked as a client relations specialist and as an administrator for over 17 years at Center Veterinary Clinic. Linda knows first hand what it is like to have a house full of pets as she has 2 dogs and many cats! She is also the proud grandma of 4 beautiful grandkids who keep her very busy. Linda's expertise in all areas of the hospital , her helpful and upbeat nature and her compassion make her an invaluable member of the CVC Team.
Gail, Hospital Manager, has worked at CVC for almost 12 years. She first started from home managing the books and now works most days in the hospital. She has four children and spends as much time as she can watching all of their sports activities. She graduated from San Diego State University and was a classroom teacher for 10 years. In her free time, she enjoys running, volunteering and going on adventures with her family. She shares her house with 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 birds and a lizard. Her favorite thing about working at CVC is how different each day is and seeing and interacting with all of the cute pets!
Cherie, veterinary receptionist, has worked at CVC for over 8 years since first starting in high school. Cherie is the mommy to a beautiful toddling boy. She is also the proud owner of 4 dogs, 4 cats, a bird, lizard and beta fish. She loves going fishing, to the gym and spending time with her family and friends. Cherie has plans of finishing college to become a labor and delivery nurse. She loves working with a great staff and seeing previously sick animals get better and their owners leaving with a smile on their face.
Ally, Kennel and Veterinary Assistant, Ally is now attending Ohio State and studying to becme a veterinarian in the near future. She has worked at CVC since 2010 and will be back to help out on her college breaks. Ally enjoys horsebackriding and playing with her dog and cat in her free time. We love her gentle and kind nature with the animals.

Kristina, Groomer, has worked at CVC for over 5 years. She has attended community college and completed a 4 year grooming apprenticeship. She is a newlywed who owns 3 cats and 3 dogs who are all rescues. Kristina loves horseback-riding and hiking. Kristina loves working with the CVC team and the animals. We love how she makes all of our pets look beautiful and smell great! _________________________________________________________________
Andrea, Vet Assistant, has worked at CVC since 2011. She is attending Palomar College and pursuing a career to work with marine mammals. Andrea has two cats and enjoys going to the beach, camping and attending concerts in her spare time. We are really excited to have such a responsible and compassionate new team member!
